During my tenure I have been the Tactical instructor, Armorer and Firearms instructor, Bike patrol, Motors, Traffic division, and Detective. I am currently the senior sergeant over patrol activities and the courts. I have implemented improved employee evaluation programs for the Department and City and I have been directly involved in rewriting the policies and procedures for the city and police department. I am currently developing updated procedures and training for the Arrest Control and defensive tactics.

I developed and implemented a Motor Officer Program for the police department. Initially staffing with only two officers, currently there area five certified Motor officers to include a second Motor officer Instructor. I have been involved in instructing basic and instructor level classes for motor officers since 2006 at the State and local levels.I was able to redefine the role of the Traffic division and have established policy and guide lines for the investigation of major traffic related incidents including critical injury and fatal crash reconstruction.

I was a case agent and UC for the multi-jurisdictional Narcotic interdiction team. I was responsible for investigating narcotic trafficking offenses, to include Search Warrant preparation and execution, Confidential Informant management, and evidence handling.

My assignments included the investigation of major crimes such as bank robbery, Homicide, and Rape as well as property crimes. I became a specialist in the investigation of sexual crimes and crimes against children. During my first year in Detectives I was able to close nine bank robberies with arrest and obtain a confession from the offender.
