I am serving as the onsite customer Reliability Technician III for the MRP mechanical seal contract for Sabic Plastics. I help to improve maintenance reliability as an in-plant technician by increasing MTBR for rotating equipment. Responsibilities include working directly with site engineering team as the mechanical seal champion site wide and managing every aspect of sealing rotating equipment throughout the plant. This includes implementing best practice maintenance and installation techniques, creating new standard operating procedures, identifying problem equipment, recommending new seal styles and sealing system upgrades. Performing root cause analysis to identify failure modes in order to create a better path forward. Create and teach training presentations tailored to the customer’s needs, including API support plans, seal types, installations, operations and routine maintenance checks to complete. Manage mechanical seal inventory for all rotating equipment, both new and repair, while also working alongside planners to ensure efficient work order flow. Maintain the John Crane Interface system, which tracks historical and current site reliability and maintenance data. Ensure my sales representative, repair technicians and customer service personnel have the correct information and knowledge to work together to keep the program running smoothly.
