Mostorod Refinery (Egyptian Refining Company)• Oversee the operational integrity of the hydrogen production unit, ensuring compliance with operational parameters across rotating shifts.• Contribute expertise to the startup and shutdown procedures of the hydrogen production unit, imparting best practices to junior operators for safe and reliable operation.• Maintain vigilance over the unit's protective systems, promptly reporting and addressing any deviations from expected performance.•Actively engage in simulation exercises and contingency planning for the hydrogen production unit, optimizing preparedness for potential operational challenges.• Facilitate the identification and isolation of equipment requiring maintenance, facilitating timely repairs and testing to minimize downtime.• Provide insightful recommendations on anticipated issues and compile comprehensive reports on operational status, safety compliance, and other critical aspects of the hydrogen production unit.

• Implement stringent security protocols, monitoring all protection layers including safety valves and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for uncompromised safety standards.• Drive operational improvements by identifying and implementing necessary changes in consultation with the Supervising Operator, ensuring optimal performance.• Oversee reformation operations for hydrogen production from natural gas, including key components such as catalytic beds, PSA filtration units, and compressors, ensuring seamless operations.• Lead comprehensive inspections and maintenance activities, initiating work orders and allocating resources as required to maintain operational integrity.• Proactively participate in safety inspections and management walk-throughs to address potential hazards and promote a culture of safety excellence.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement new systems and modifications, ensuring feasibility and optimization.• Directly oversee equipment start-up and shut-down procedures, driving major operational and process changes to enhance productivity.

• Responsible for safe operational conditions and availability of all units following current operational procedures.• Coordinate and be the field emergency response commander in the event of an emergency according to the contingency plan. • Report abnormal plant or unit conditions to the Operations Manager and Area Superintendent. • Generate operational reports per shift for management. • Maintain control and oversight of maintenance activities in the upgrader. • Directly responsible for adjusting and optimizing unit conditions following planning group directives and operational guidelines for respective areas. • Actively participate with the Operations Coordinator in coordinating maintenance activities (day-to-day) during shifts to ensure daily operations, and establish priorities based on critical activities, and resource availability.

• Monitor and trend variables process of hydrogen production and purification unit per shift.• Review and comply with daily operational instructions and guidelines. • Make operational adjustments to maintain unit stability.• Review laboratory results of water and gas samples captured to take any necessary corrective actions.• Perform normal and emergency startups and shutdowns of the unit according to approved operational procedures.• Ensure timely delivery of equipment for repair to the maintenance department, fully isolated, depressurized, and purged.• Notify the Industrial Services Superintendent and shift Superintendent of any abnormalities and conditions that may arise per shift.
