Training and education (guides, tour leaders, community based tourism, front office employees, riskmanagement)4. Nature education, interpretation and sustainability International projects: training rangers of NP Kempen Maasland, training guides and management in community based tourism projects in Tanzania (KNCU Coffee Program), South Africa (Fair Trade Zebediela; Paseo) and Lesotho and training tour leaders in Canada. We train(ed) employees and stakeholders of SNP Natuurreizen, Baobab, SRC Cultuurvakanties, Afriesj, IVN, Bureau Veluwe Ranger, Zuid Hollands Landschap, etc.

Activities:- Guiding tours (trekkings and hikes) in Africa (Zimbabwe, Namibia, Jordan, Botswana, etc.), Canada, Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tadzjikistan-Pamir Mountains) and Europe.- Developing tours in Africa.- Training tour leaders in communication skills, hospitality and attitude.- Promotional activities and lectures.

Veluwe Rangers - hosts of the Veluwe - use a variety of approaches to bring visitors - on a commercial base - closer to nature to give them a unique experience. The program includes innovative guided tours, lectures on nature and conservation, hikes with adventure packs, full-moon and nature impression walks, bat - and wild boar expeditions and ‘desert’ walks. We also succesfully organized an innovative job rotation scheme for staff from Blaenavon Industrial Landscape in Wales and Regionaal Landschap Hoge Kempen en Maasland to learn how to do things first-hand, and thus bring best practice into their own protected areas. Both regions have used such knowledge and experience in organizing nature activities and training programmes for guides.
