Wilhelm is a forward thinking entrepreneur whose career in the creative industries has seen him collaborate with some the world’s most distinctive brands such as Comme des Garçons and other high profile organisations including Palais de Tokyo.He is the founder and co Director of Double Decker, a curation and design practice which combines cultural, hospitality and communication projects in a very unique way. The London based studio crafts artwork collections for category leading hotels, designs F&B strategies and visual identities and curates applied arts exhibitions in museums.Wilhelm’s unique forward thinking approach and creative success has attracted many of the worlds top hotel brands, museums and galleries and his international multidisciplinary team have delivered projects in 12 countries across 3 continents. Clients include Fairmont, Rosewood, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, 25Hours Hotels, Cunard, Hyatt, Argent, IHC, Accor, Marriott, Conran + Partners, Tihany Design, David Collins Studio ,Fosters and Partners the Design Museum, Onassis Foundation and Oscar Niemeyer Museum. Championing a fresh approach, Wilhelm’s work pays tribute to his ability to forecast trends and creative talent and to effectively communicate stories through brand defining art collections. This has enabled him to anticipate commercially successful concepts which have added longevity to the value of his clients properties. Several of the artists that he his discovered during his practice, have gone on to enjoy success at institutions such as the Tate and Saatchi Gallery.Wilhelm holds a PGDip in Communication Design from Central Saint Martin’s and his creative spirit lead him to complete an MA in Curating in partnership with the Design Museum. It is here that he met his creative partner Melita. This sparked the birth of Double Decker which has enjoyed success for several years. Wilhelm has curated award winning hotel and restaurant spaces alongside publications and programs in internationally acclaimed museums such as The Oscar Niemeyer Museum, The Design Museum, The Science Museum and The Onassis Cultural Centre.
