In 2024, Evli Growth Partners led the €40 million Series-B round.

Omena Hotels is a tech-enabled economy hotel operator. The current footprint includes 9 automated and staffless hotels in the major cities in Finland, with a combined capacity of 650 hotel rooms. Omena Hotels (and Kotipizza) was founded by Finnish entrepreneur Rabbe Grönblom. Rabbe / Omena Hotels was my first client, after I founded advisory and investment company Capwill Partners in 2011. Omena Hotels underwent a comprehensive turnaround in 2014-2015, and successfully completed a court administered restructuring program 2015-2021. In 2021, the company also raised a recapitalization round.

Clients included stock-listed corporations (e.g. Lemminkäinen/YIT, Pöyry), investment managers (e.g. CapMan, Innovestor), family-owned businesses (e.g. Omena Hotels, Tubor Batteries) as well as various startups. Currently focus is primarily on investment activities, by making selective minority investments in exciting businesses.

Linear is a SaaS-based real estate CRM system, which enables brokers to digitally manage home listings and the sales process. The company also operates home listing site Dixu, which allows home owners to use DIY tools or connect to a broker for home sales.Innovestor led the seed round in 2020. In 2022, Schibstedt Ventures led the Series-A round.

Fiksuruoka.fi is an e-commerce company, with a mission to reduce food waste. The company operates an online grocery store, where it sells and distributes groceries with short expiration date, misprinted, outdated packaging, and other surplus products to a discounted price.Innovestor participated in the seed round in 2019. In 2021, Verdane led the €19 million growth round.

Trussmatic is a technology company, which provides Industrial Automation, IoT and Robotics solutions for the building components industry. The company has developed the world's fully automated roof truss production line.Advised the new CEO in a Management Buy-In and restructuring of Trussmatic in 2016. In 2016, Innovestor led the seed round, and arranged additional funding from Finnish family-office and angel investors. Initially, the company only consisted of IP-rights to the technology, and a pilot installation in Finland. During 2016-2021, the company successfully redeveloped the product, sold 7 production lines (c.€2.5m/line) to customers in Nordics and US, grew the team to 20 professionals and raised € +10 million across several rounds of equity and debt financing. In 2021, Trussmatic received a strategic US-based investor to further expand on the main market in North America.

Nordea Bank (OMXH: NDA) is the largest banking group in the Nordics. In Corporate Finance department, which provided Investment Banking advisory services related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions. Clients consisted principally of large Nordic corporations and private equity funds.Started as Associate, promoted to Associate Director. As Associate Director responsible for leading execution teams in M&A and ECM transactions, covering all aspects of the processes as well directing junior team members (Analysts, Associates). Participated in engagements related to e.g. Sanoma (divestment of R-kiosks; divestment of book printing asset), CapMan (divestment of Farmos), Lion Capital (acquisition of bakery asset), Outokumpu (acquisition of ThyssenKrupp stainless steel business; rights offering), Kevitsa Mining (secondary offering), Tamro (strategic advisory) and Transmeri (strategic advisory).

Victor Ek is a logistics, moving and shipping company. The company was founded in 1885, and it remains in the ownership of descendants (family) of its founder Victor Ek.The time as Board Member coincided with the Global Financial Crises which negatively affected shipping volumes in particular. The company also went through a leadership change, with both a new Chairman and CEO elected in 2009. It invested in new logistics assets in the Port of Hanko, which later become the center of all its logistics operations.
