About Wil Burlin
I have spent the last twenty five years learning how to live off the grid, design and install systems and promote solar in northern New Mexico and the world My own solar electric needs got me involved with solar electricity at an early age, which led to a career as an electrician apprentice and solar installer. All of this was leading up to my goal of being a solar electrician and/or electrical contractor. I did my apprenticeship in Taos, New Mexico under several of the local solar electricians. I have worked side by side with people who were designing and living off of solar electric systems before it became popular. In short, I spend most of my life toying with solar electricity and learning as much as I can in this ever changing world of renewable energy.Specialties: system design, sales and support; dealer installer accounts, product knowledge, hands on experience, troubleshooting, tech support, hindsight, building power centers, batteries, grid tie, research and development, plansets, electrical diagrams, permitting.

I was working as a commercial electrician in Taos, New Mexico. Mostly wiring buildings for large project building companies like G3. I also got to wire and retrofit high end houses in northern New Mexico for several contractors in the area, and we had several contracts with the National Forest Service and BLM. I was in charge of wiring commercial buildings from start to finish. I was also helping in the design and layout phase for many projects we were working on.

I also got to train the owner of the company on solar equipment while he helped me with my apprenticeship.We had solar projects, wired houses from start to finish and had many commercial troubleshooting opportunities.
