I was responsible for Systems Design Engineering in the Smart Display mobile handheld group. I've worked on designing FPCA and PCB for interfacing in-cell LCD panels with Synaptics' TDDI (integrated touch and display driver IC) with DisplayLink video board. I did schematic capture, component and multi-board mechanical placement design, bring-up, and documenting very minor reworks. I wrote the firmware for STMicro ARM Cortex M microcontroller and worked closely with the TDDI firmware team to implement new features for demo. I was instrumental in identifying silicon issues and delivered system that was used at several trade shows to demonstrate Synaptics' industry leading TDDI in-cell technology. In addition to the demo system, I developed several adapter boards and memory modules with improved debugging and firmware development capability.I have developed many boards to enable several LCD manufacturers (LCM) to demonstrate their new panels with Synaptics' innovative TDDI ASIC. I helped with initial bring-up of the panels and successfully debugged both hardware and software issues. In addition to the standard display adapter boards (DAB), I've designed several mini-boards for improving productivity.My projects were:- Establish infrastructure for Maxwell simulation of sensor patterns- LCD DAB PCB hardware circuit and mechanical design (regular rigid FR4 and flex PCB)- Write Python code to capture, process, and analyze lab data- Porting Android kernel video driver for new LCDs integrated with Synaptics touch technology- Documented PCB design process and guidelines- Technical training for FAE and world-wide team

Drew timing diagrams and block diagrams to illustrate concept that is difficult to understand just by words. I am an expert at drawing diagrams in Visio.Sent feedback to design team incorrect or ambiguous register descriptions.Broadcom's baseband controllers are highly integrated multi-core SoCs that have 2G/3G modem (some with integrated RF), applications processor, multimedia accelerators, many serial and parallel connectivity ports, LCD and camera I/F, USB I/F, and audio I/F.
