Sam is an experienced Business Psychologist and founder of Chronically Working. She is a Trainee Occupational Psychologist with the BPS, completing her qualification to become a chartered Psychologist. Sam has a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Occupational/Business Psychology from the University of Worcester and is qualified in a number of psychometricsincluding; personality, resilience and emotional intelligence. Sam is passionate about diversity and inclusion, with a special interest in disability inclusion. This is why she set up Chronically Working in 2020. This started off as a community for people working with chronic illness and disabilities and has now evolved into a suite of products and services which are aimed at supporting employees with chronic illness and disability. But also, enabling managers, leaders and employers to be more inclusive and most importantly, creating partnerships between the two for lasting results such as lower levels of absenteeism, presenteeism and higher levels of employee wellbeing, engagement and productivity. This passion comes from Sam living with multiple invisible disabilities and conditions since the beginning of her career and wanting to inspire and motivate others that with the right support and adaptations success is possible. Prior to becoming an independent Psychologist and Adjunct Faculty at Ashridge, Sam worked for Ashridge and Hult for a number of years in Research and Product Development designing, developing and delivering a range of programmes from leadership, to team engagement to diversity and inclusion. Sam now works independently focusing on assessment & selection, personal development and team training & development. As well as delivering workshops, training, coaching and mentoring in the diversity and inclusion space with Chronically Working.
