Promoted to head of digital in 2017 and became one of three newsroom managers tasked with overseeing all day-to-day operations, specifically content and site management, digital production, social media and planning. In assuming the lead role on an aggressive digital team, my focus shifted specifically to digital production and social media for WRIC-TV 8News and wric.com. -Research, write and edit a variety of content -- including breaking news, weather, feature and sports stories -- for our website as well as social media and mobile platforms-Aggressively maintain all social media platforms, providing our viewers with a mix of engaging and compelling content in a timely manner-Edit copy from in-house staff and affiliates to strictly adhere to AP Style guidelines for both digital and on-air production
