I have been the Chief Executive Officer at Gundagai Meat Processors (GMP) since 2014. GMP was founded in 1974 and forms part of the Barton Group brand, which has a longstanding association with the town of Gundagai dating back to 1874.During my time at GMP, I have led a multi-million dollar facility expansion project and secured Tier 2 Export certification. I am passionate about shaping the future of our industry and have been an active member of various committees including the Sheep Sustainability Steering Group, National Agricultural Labour Advisory Committee and the Objective Measurement Adoption & Commercialisation Committee. I was also part of the Red Meat Memorandum of Understanding Taskforce in 2019.In 2020, we established Gundagai Lamb, which is a new and exciting lamb brand, backed by my family’s 100+ years of meat industry experience. Gundagai Lamb will revolutionise the lamb supply chain into the future with innovative approaches to the producer / processor relationship. Prior to joining GMP as CEO, I was Director of Agribusiness within CBRE Asia-Pacific, the world’s largest commercial real estate firm. After establishing the agribusiness arm of CBRE Asia-Pacific with a group of three colleagues, we grew from 4 to 34 team members in just 18 months.
