Oversee all financial transactions/reconciliations and GL entries throughout conception, loan-close, construction-in-progress (CIP), pre-opening, and opening phases. Set-up property financial reconciliation systems for cash over/shorts, sales tax reconciliations, comp F&B and bank reconciliations. Performed all Cash, AR, AP, GL, Payroll functions/controls as a decentralized Controller. Produced the month-end P&Ls and Balance Sheets. Property Controller – Converted the property as a brand from Radisson to Holiday Inn. Also transitioned the financials from one ownership to another as well as from one management company (Hospitality Management Corporation – Dallas, TX) to another (First Call Hospitality - Fargo, ND). All three of these transitions took place at different times over my tenure. Produced month-end P&L and Balance Sheet. Designed and simplified complex Group AR invoices in order to facilitate expedited bill payment. Reviewed all AP vendor statements to ensure timely payments of invoices. Audited all cashier banks on a monthly basis. Reviewed cash Over/Short reports. Completed all Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations. Ensured that all department managers completed their month-end financial responsibilities. Audited or conducted monthly food/beverage inventories.
