Responsible for all engineering staff activities, including hiring, budgets and designs, for both new product development and production engineering. Supervised CNC machine shop comprised of eight CNC machine tools running two shifts. Responsible for all production planning and material stock requirements. Specified, implemented, ran and maintained SCARA robot loaded diamond turning machine to mass produce mirror finished cones for production use. Developed specification, designed, prototyped and brought to production five new laser level tools and several accessories. Extensive use of Solidworks to build parametric models of the complete tool including machined, cast and injected molded parts. Designed one of the first to market cone based laser line generator assemblies that variations of are now industry standard. Awarded US Patent 7,497,018.

Responsible for all engineering staff activities, budgets and designs. Guide refinements of current PC based automatic semiconductor scribe and break equipment. Guide R&D projects including scribe and break technologies, fluid injecting machines and wafer bonding equipment. Completed extensive analysis of semiconductor breaking dynamics and processes that resulted in new technology and a patent issued. Ongoing coordination with vendors to refine design and improve quality of purchased and machined parts. Control flow of engineering change requests and change orders. Awarded US patent 7,262,115.

As a key member of the design development group, responsible for the analysis, design and prototype manufacture of major mechanical assemblies in next generation CT-scan bomb detection equipment. Designed from concept level thru analysis to production the x-ray radiation lock systems that formed a fundamental component in the CTX 9000 currently in use in airports all over the world. Co inventor of a non intrusive baggage inspection machine that was the first FAA certified Computed Tomography (CT) based machine to be used for the detection of explosives. Awarded six US patents.
