One of my groups studies the aerodynamics and flight path of boomerangs. My task was to track thin, 3D-printed boomerangs using Ultra Wideband positioning (UWB). I used Decawave/Qorvo UWB units to track a custom PCB attached to a boomerang.Another group I've contributed to studies wireless 5G communication systems. I would test evaluation kits of industry-standard transmitter/receiver chain parts to realize the design in hardware.Currently, I work with a group that studies the design of delta-sigma modulators, and delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters. We design and simulate in Cadence Virtuoso using TSMC 65nm GP PDK—creating models first in Verilog-A and then at the transistor level.
