I’m currently leading an effort to overhaul the test systems team and processes. Current successes in this effort include:-> Creation and implementation of common coding standards, test driven development processes, and code review processes-> Restructuring active project codebases and documentation under a single centralized point-of-access versus multiple differing locations and amongst several different tools-> Standardizing and streamlining process for internal users of test infrastructure to report bugs, request new features, and providing cross functional supportCurrent ongoing efforts include:-> Refactoring significant portions of existing codebase to greatly improve maintainability and expandability-> Developing full test automation pipeline to go from a new commit of software-under-test to a final test report without any action required from a developer. New software commits trigger continuous builds which in turn trigger automated testing based on requirements touched.-> Upcoming physical system redesign in support of new munitions and subsequent testing requirements

-> Responsible for HiL system development for automated testing of weapons system software using NI-based HW/SW, primarily PXIs, cRIOs, and LabVIEW. This includes all the user interfaces and hardware drivers to communicate with both the DUT and the supporting hardware such as 1553 buses, power supplies, and custom FPGA simulations of real-world resolver signals. This also incorporates a real-time simulation of the munitions and launcher communications and physical dynamics.-> Development of related tools for tasks such as results analysis, software updaters, or operator feedback reporting

-> Responsible for overall design and lead of test system projects including development of system requirements, timing and cost estimates, system design reviews, system SW/HW development and integration, and coordination of resources and personnel.-> Oversaw Test Systems Group including processes, development of internal tools and frameworks, mentoring of less experienced developers, and leading code reviews.-> Test System Group expert in hardware-in-the-loop or ADAS related test systems.

Developed complete system-level automated HiL test platform to perform charger and BMS firmware regression-testing. The final system enabled the automatic execution of an entire test suite triggered by a firmware source commit by a developer. Upon completion, a set of test results was produced with complete traceability back to the specific commit, the set of test cases, the set of requirements covered by those test cases, and any open issues associated with the initial commit.

Responsible for developing automated test system software for 3rd party customers encompassing all custom software required to meet testing requirements.Additionally, performed integration of test system hardware during assembly as well as system bring-up validation and debug.

Developed general purpose, object-oriented, test framework with the ability to add test defined plugins as needed. Significant time was saved by standardizing components of the software which would be necessary regardless of the type of tester such as configuration, certain aspects of user interfaces, or database storage. This way only a new application specific plugin would need to be written to implement only those components unique to a particular system.
