As an independent insurance agent, I worked with multiple insurance carriers to sell, underwrite and apply for insurance over the phone. It also required me to manage my own book of business by helping clients with their ongoing insurance needs.

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) is a nonprofit interest group located in Washington D.C. dedicated to eliminating wasteful spending at both the federal and state levels of government. As a policy intern at CAGW, I was able to hone both my critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral) by writing for the interest group's blog, The WasteWatcher, and working with a team of 3 interns to evaluate the success of over 200 budgetary recommendations to Congress by syphoning through appropriations bills and online government resources.
