My name is Will Blum and I am a team-oriented, curious, and highly teachable nursing student with a passion for emergency and critical care nursing. I graduated with honors from Vassar College in 2015, and expect to graduate from the University of Arizona Accelerated MSN-entry-to-practice program in August of 2024. Prior to beginning nursing school I worked as a high school ESL teacher, a wilderness first responder and rescue technician, and as a community organizer where I used my conversational Spanish to communicate extensively with monolingual Spanish speakers. I see nursing as a synthesis of several long-held values: an interest in physiology, medicine, and healthcare; a commitment to equity, cultural competence, and effective communication; and a desire to provide tangible acts of service in high intensity situations that tangibly impact peoples' lives. I am interested in beginning my nursing career in an emergency department or critical care setting. I look forward to connecting!
