I am responsible for driving business development within the Aotearoa / New Zealand Transport market. This involves fostering, maintaining, and growing strong relationships across key clients and partners, to understand challenges, opportunities and their underlying drivers on some of Aotearoa's biggest infrastructure challenges, and partnering with leaders across Jacobs' global business to develop pursuit strategies and build teams to pursue and deliver.

I lead the pursuit and setup of major projects for Jacobs' Transport group in New Zealand. This includes all phases of business development, pursuit planning and bidding, as well as setting projects up for successful delivery.

I lead a team of design managers and bridge engineers, based in Auckland, who deliver large transport infrastructure projects across New Zealand.In addition to working with clients on their projects, my role is to ensure that all of our people are supported to perform to their potential and that Jacobs' Major Projects business in New Zealand is recognised for providing great outcomes for our clients.To achieve this, I work with people from across Jacobs' New Zealand and Asia-Pacific operation, together with our delivery partners, making sure that we have the right people in place on any given project and that we harness knowledge from across the region, as well as seeking opportunities to call on the global expertise available within Jacobs.

I led a national team of approximately 40 engineers and designers across three offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, with a team leader in each of the respective offices. In addition to working with clients on their projects, my role is to ensure that all of our people are supported to perform to their potential and that Jacobs' Infrastructure business in New Zealand is recognised for providing great outcomes for our clients.To achieve this, I work with people from across Jacobs' New Zealand and Asia-Pacific operation, making sure that we have the right people in place on any given project and that we harness knowledge from across the region, as well as calling on global expertise when required.Project roles included:Auckland Southern Corridor Improvements - coordination of peer review.Auckland Northern Corridor - tender design coordination/commercial management.

This was a national role, working with local branch teams to lead the preparation of significant tender submissions and assist with business development in each region.

My focus as New Business Manager was on relationship building and project development from a concept stage, working with clients, design consultants and construction contractors to develop piling solutions to suit their projects. I worked with a range of capable individuals from across the Piletech and wider Fletcher team to leverage strengths for our clients, and had a great team of people supporting this goal within Piletech.

This was a new business focussed role, working with clients to develop piling solutions for their projects and preparing tenders. My main focus throughout my time in this role was Canterbury recovery work, developing key relationships and providing input into business strategy for the Canterbury operation.

I started at Piletech by undertaking 3-4 months predominantly running projects as a Project Engineer, gaining a solid grounding in the operational side of Piletech’s business. I then transitioned into the ‘Design Engineer’ role, developing tender designs and pricing.

Undertook work in GHD's Roads and Highways team on design and MSQA of various roading and transportation projects. Significant projects included Assistant to Engineer's Rep. on Market Rd to Greenlane Auxiliary Lane (State Highway 1), Design Manager/Engineer's Rep. on Orewa Boulevard (formerly SH1) and Design Manager/Engineer's Rep. on the Warkworth Town Centre upgrade.
