Worked closely with the Customer Service Team and Manufacturing Team. I worked closely with manufacturing on initiatives to improve quality, to improve on-time delivery and reduce manufacturing costs. Using ERP software, created routers providing detailed instructions for manufacturing. Create required manufacturing drawings and necessary supporting CNC programs using CAD software. Designed and developed manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost. Providing engineering support to manufacturing for trouble shooting and technical problems. Process ECN’s and ECR’s with Customer Service to ensure correct and timely updates. Worked with customers to complete drawing updates and design changes.

Worked on a broad variety of metal assemblies, ranging from highly cosmetic store displays to extremely complex computer chassis’. Responsible for programs, files, models, and designs though out the life of the project. Manage files imported from customers. Create flat blank layouts, update/create manufacturing processes and work centers. Create laser and turret nests, programs, and NC Files. Evaluate tooling needs and design needed brake/turret tooling and or fixtures. Increased the capability of the shop and expanded prototype tooling capabilities by helping to create CNC Machining Department. Attended MasterCam Training, created all CNC programs. Evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes. Applied knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, product design, assembly, tooling, and materials.

Create advanced parts and fabrications for customers, specializing in stainless conveyors and material handling. Created contacts that opened the business to new fields. Design 3D models and prints for customers, implemented quality control procedures and file control standards. Created a work flow and traveler procedure. Managed work flow of all projects, sourced new vendors to alleviate costs. Worked on-site for most projects, helping to coordinate installs.

Schedule and release prototypes to the shop floor. Import customer CAD files and create flat layouts. Design any needed tooling, developing short run prototype laminate and pancake tols tools to cut costs. Create 3D models for customer approval if so required. Reverse engineer projects, sit in on tooling and process reviews and provide input to alleviate tooling costs and help increase profit when parts make it to production. Work closely with sales and Engineering team. Design permanant production stage tooling. Assist Toolmakers with development and tool repairs

Hired as a Welding Supervisor. Quickly put in the position of Fabrication Supervisor, overlooking Welding, De-burring, Punching, and Forming. Promoted and trained in Estimating. Dealt with customers and monitored sales on a daily basis. Correspond with customers to obtain new jobs while still making them profitable for the company. Create programs, unfold parts from 3D CAD, and stress sheet utilization. Concentrated on high priority projects and prototypes.
