While working in a school I have learnt many skills about organising work load and time management. I quickly gained responsibility for supervising other members of the department and helping them improve due to my excellent subject knowledge. This consisted of supporting other teachers with their subject knowledge and helping them grow.

My Degree required me to complete a minimum of a 40 week placement at a computing company.I found a position within the development team of Immat Ltd. Immat’s main website is known asthe IGroup, which is a directory listing web site, spanning over 52 domains. My initial role was to develop a content management system called iDatabase using PHP and required best coding practice and full Object Orientation. After the completion of iDatabase, I was asked to train and created technical documentation on this new system.I additionally worked on other websites the company owned including, iOpeningtimes.co.uk and Discountmap.com where I worked on both front end development and server side development in construction and maintenance of these sites, including web scrapers and enhancing the security of each site.

My role involved managing technical issues on their E-commerce sites. Another of my responsibilities included dealing with financial aspects of the business consisting of fraud customer checks, chargeback related issues and generating sales reports for management using SQL. I also managed local hardware issues and any technical queries from other members of staff. As well as this I created new user accounts and dealt with training staff in the Technical Department. Training Supervisor SQL - I was asked to teach non - technical members of staff how to perform some of my tasks using SQL.
