He is also editor at the firm’s events business, Policy Eye Northern Ireland. He has more than 20 years’ experience in providing strategic public affairs support to organisations in the public, private and third sectors. Will initially worked in the House of Commons for a number MPs, before joining the British Gas parliamentary affairs team during the passage of the UK Gas Act 1995. Subsequently, Will worked at the Palace of Westminster-based Future of Europe Trust, where he was responsible for organising events for young and emerging politicians from across Europe. Since returning to Northern Ireland in 2000, Will has led and provided strategic advice on a range of client accounts, including Lloyds Banking Group, VELUX, ASDA, Freight Transport Association, NHBC, BG Group plc, Electricity Association of Ireland, British Retail Consortium, MindWise NV, Asthma UK NI and Lilly UK. He ran the ‘no’ (Europe Yes, Euro No) Campaign in Northern Ireland during the early noughties; building a formidable alliance of NI business people opposed to joining the single currency and successfully raising the campaign’s key messages up the local news agenda. Will was also involved in supporting Northern Ireland’s two race courses in their successful campaign for on-course betting on Sundays. During the past twenty years, Will has gained an unrivalled depth of experience and understanding of the Northern Ireland political and policy environment and those audiences and institutions that inform public opinion and shape the policy agenda in the region. He is well placed to help guide you to your goals.
