Worked on two historical research projects with historian Lauren Stokes. For "Right-Wing Environmentalism" project, consulted archival documents at the Bibliothèque nationale de France and produced two ten-page written reports about the development of far-right environmentalist and anti-immigrant discourses in France. For "Social History of the Jet Age" project, examined several French human rights reports, newsletters from migrant rights organizations, and archival editions of Le Monde to produce several written reports on the development of extraterritorial "zones d'attente" and migrant detention facilities in French airports between the 1970s and today.

Reported stories about municipal government funding for social welfare services, migration and undocumented communities, HIV treatment, water and electricity outages, food insecurity, and urban farming for the Johannesburg desk of Maverick Citizen, the section of The Daily Maverick that focuses on human rights and social justice issues. Traveled throughout Johannesburg and Gauteng as well as Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape to report stories and shadow reporters.

Wrote a three-part series about immigration in Ohio, as well as long-form articles about renewable and nuclear energy in the Midwest; worked on a research team for a podcast about labor history in the Midwest.

Researched the Auschwitz women's camp for historian Sarah Cushman, who was writing a book on the topic. Watched survivors' testimonies in French and English and took notes on various aspects of camp life, specifically investigating the role of gender in shaping prisoners' experiences, especially regarding their interactions with each other and those in differential positions of authority.
