As the IT Systems Admin for Beesley & Fildes, I am solely responsible for the installation, configuration, support and maintenance of our Communications and Information Systems throughout our 8 depots across the North West of England. Providing all 3 lines of support I look after around 120 users spanning across over 200 items of equipment including, but not limited to, Thin clients, desktops, laptops, Thermal & Laser printers, Card Processing terminals and Network Hardware.I work closely with our Cloud Hosting partner, NetPlan, to ensure end to end connectivity between our depots and Data Centre. I maintain regular communication with my contact there to gain advice and guidance on how we can improve on our current infrastructure.I am responsible for procurement and contracting of 3rd party services such as Managed Print Systems, Fixed and Mobile telephone systems, PAYM (Pay As You Mail Invoicing) and public WiFi solutions for our Garden Centre.My users rely on me to provide technical assistance with our core business package, BisTrack, meaning that I have to have a good understanding of most areas of the organisation from purchasing all the way through to sales and invoicing. I pride myself on providing the highest quality of service to our staff to ensure minimal downtime and maximize the potential for income, whilst at the same time using cost-effective ICT solutions in order to boost overall company profits.
