I am currently a first year at the University of Guelph, majoring in neuroscience, and working on a Bachelor's of Science degree. I chose to major in neuroscience because i love biology and psychology and want to understand how they relate and interact. I want to better understand the systems working inside of myself and others and how to improve these systems. I am from a small town called Meaford where I have lived my whole life; it's where I worked and went to school. In high school i achieved the highest standing award issued by the Governor General along with top mark in grade 12 math, biology, and chemistry. I work at a long term care centre back in my home town where i have created close bonds with residents during my co-op program and volunteering experience. From my experience working there, I have learned that I love helping people and the joy that it can bring to others, though I understand not all things can be helped with; i understand the boundaries of my abilities. However, I would like to better my understanding of things and broaden my knowledge to be a better and bigger help to others and myself, mostly in the psychological and biological aspect of the person.
