I am a PhD student in the Marr Lab at Brandeis University. My focus is molecular biology, and my work is entwined with computational methods.I graduated from Cornell University in May 2018, and after a year of full-time work in the Martienssen Lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, I went on to Brandeis University. The focus of my current research is the structure and function of internal ribosome entry sites (IRESes). I am a member of the Quantitative Biology (QB) program at Brandeis. From 10th grade onward, I worked in the Martienssen Lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory whenever possible. My project at CSHL was applying the CRISPR-Cas9 system to duckweed in order to optimize for lipid production in pursuit of biofuels applications, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
