Will is a policy manager and agricultural economist who has worked for several years in both government and the private sector. Will started his career in Western Australia with the Department of Agriculture and gained experience in both broad-acre and irrigated horticulture industries before spending 12 months working in the rural development field with the Australian Government aid agency Ausaid in Bangladesh. Will then returned to Melbourne to work as a consultant in Natural Resource Management for the next three years and more recently has enjoyed working as a policy manager for the Victorian Department of Economic Development . He has experience in developing strategy and was recently commended by the Secretary of the Department for his work on the Government's Food and Fibre Strategy. Will is experienced in managing a team of policy analysts responsible for industry transition issues, has undertaking research and analysis in water policy and the biophysical and economic aspects of horticultural and dairy farming systems.Will is experienced in providing advice and recommendations to senior Victorian Government Executives and Ministers on complex policy issues related to agriculture and food, natural resource management and water.
