I'm a fully qualified time served carpenter with over 20 years experience in the construction industry from new houses to various types of commercial buildings. I always strive for quality and value and embrace modern technologies within the construction industry. After 10 years of been self employed became Director of Nutree Joinery Ltd. This involved sourcing new contracts with major building contractors and ensuring we kept regular work for the highly skilled joiners we employed. In 2004 I decided to start my own company ANE Joinery and continued the same role. Through this period We had various degrees of work for such firms as B&K, SOL, Carillon, Connaught,Thomas Fish, G F Tomlinson. 2009 a career change happened. A new challenge awaited and an opportunity appeared with L&H homes. Now part of a team which looks after their leashhold retirement properties/schemes. This entails managing the day to day repairs and budget, cyclical works and major repairs. This will involve having good relationships with residents and contractors and ensuring works are to a high standard and value for money. A 15 to 20 year forecast/plan for each scheme identifying future works and costs is required thus ensuring sufficent funds are in place. Within doing this there must be an understanding of the ARMHs code of practice and Section 20 consultation and tendering process. Because of channeling my previous experience and knowledge and learning vast amounts within the leasehold and social housing framework I retuned to collage and have just received a HNC in construction and the Built Environment.
