I evaluate the capabilities of a business with respect to product quality and uptime. I help them see the gaps between their current methods and the best practices in their industry. From there, we work together to prioritize the gaps based on asset criticality and the value of missed opportunities. I’ll close certain gaps by creating training material and hosting those sessions, or I’ll lead a workshop where we can formulate a solution collectively. I’m a “plant guy.” The inspiration for my work comes from my personal experiences in manufacturing. I know that the right process improvements not only improve product quality, but also the quality of life for operators and managers involved.

I'm was the technical liaison between the customer, production, and the design department. I resolved technical issues regarding product quality and I worked closely with all departments to remove defects. I created product specification summaries to support sales to new customers and publish technical manuals and installation drawings. I also drove continuous improvement for all in-house processes and supported compliances. I designed repairs and tooling. Assembly and manufacturing departments consulted with me on a daily basis on the functional impacts of product deviations. I also lead negotiations with the customer on the acceptance of new performance criteria with regards to the test bench.

Created new methods of analyzing steam turbine performance based on computer models. I also wrote proposals and created visual aids for customer meetings to support new sales.

I taught students enrolled in Power Plant Theory at Lanier Tech. I created class handouts, quizzes, presentations, and coordinated field trips on the fundamentals involved in turning coal/water/wind/sun into electricity.

Used computer models to simultaneously design and simulate aircraft performance.

Process engineering and tooling design. I tracked parts as they moved through the shop and optimized the process using Six Sigma tools to reduce rework and save cost. I also worked with technicians on the floor to improve and create new tooling to reduce process time and operator fatigue.
