Safety Technician
CurrentResponsibilities and roles include (but not limited to):• Conduct daily safety toolbox meetings on topics relating to everyday work tasks. • Track daily/monthly/annual inspections and repairs through a portable handheld data tool. • Ensuring compliance with all OSHA, Environmental regulations, as well as following Safe Work Practices, and site safety standards. • Walk and climb all types of process facilities to inspect, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment in every unit within the plant. • Coach Operations/ Contractor personnel on hazard awareness/recognition with our gas detection devices and other lifesaving equipment. • Perform routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products. • Calibrate/troubleshoot/repair equipment such as Ultra Rae’s, Altair’s, CO panels, SCBA’s, Air Compressors, fire alarm panels(substations), fire hydrants, etc.• Control, monitor and make necessary adjustments on control systems and manually operated equipment. • Go over safety reports with operations and safety weekly regarding the maintenance, condition, and inventory.
