Next Generation Skincare

We are four students enrolled in the biotechnology program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology who started an Investment club with a strong focus on Swedish and American biotech companies.

I joined Professor Reinhold Dauskardt's research group at Stanford for the summer. The primary objective was to establish the skin damage induced by microneedles, in the context of transdermal drug delivery and the use of microneedles. Enhanced microneedle design and minimized associated damage can contribute significantly to improved patient safety and comfort.Additionally, I played a pivotal role in coordinating a collaboration between associate Professor Niclas Roxhed's lab at KTH and Professor Dauskardts's group at Stanford. In the collaboration, I evaluated the impact of Professor Niclas Roxhed's state-of-the-art microparticles on skin integrity, while also measuring the difference in transfusion speed of various ointments through samples of the Stratum Corneum.
