I am also effectively supporting across the Special Servicing functions and act as a point of referral and decision-making for problematic recoveries, manager callbacks, and escalation to the Director of Special Servicing to ensure that in all cases risk is assessed independently to minimise the financial and reputational impact to the company. To also proactively and effectively mediate with the Legal and Compliance departments and all other operational areas to promote a smooth and concise recovery resolution process for all parties. I am in charge of my own ‘sub team’ but all work in line together to ensure that the whole department runs and performs as required from higher management. I pride myself on being someone who can motivate individuals to perform at their best without ‘micro-managing’. My approach is to be clear, transparent and to always speak the truth. My main role was to contact new customers about accounts CCM had recently purchased and existing customers to review/discuss their accounts. I would speak to hundreds of people each week to set up payment plans and discuss settlements on their debts and general queries customers may have. The challenging circumstances surrounding the conversations I had on a daily basis really put my customer service skills to the test. I feel that during my time with CCM my ability to communicate, empathise and ultimately negotiate a positive result improved greatly.An aspect of the job I really thrived on was the target-driven culture. Each month my team of 12 was assigned a target to achieve based on collections. Within that, we each had our own individual targets based on collections and a set of KPI’s which led to bonuses if we were successful. I enjoyed the fast paced pressurised environment and it is definitely something I will look for in future employment. Show less
