As a seasoned operations professional with over 20+ years of experience, I specialize in transforming concepts into operational realities, optimizing production and warehouse facilities, and leading high-performing teams across food production, cannabis, and coffee industries.My journey in operations began with a strong foundation in establishing and managing facilities. At Green Mountain Coffee (Keurig), I was selected from a competitive pool of candidates to spearhead the setup of their first warehouse in Canada. This project involved transforming an empty 30,000-square-foot space into a fully operational warehouse within six months. My success in this role earned me a promotion to Operations Manager, highlighting my ability to deliver results and manage large-scale operations effectively.A pivotal moment in my career was my tenure at Maple Leaf Foods, where I played a crucial role in transitioning operations to the company's largest building facility in a century. I was instrumental in selecting key personnel from various Ontario facilities, ensuring the right skills were in place for optimal operations. Additionally, I assisted in coordinating the closure of three facilities, managing the seamless transfer of 150 employees to the new location. This involved extensive training on new technologies and processes to ensure a smooth transition. My efforts in interviewing 250 applicants within two months and writing 60 comprehensive SOPs with a team further underscored my capability to set up robust operational frameworks.Employee development and empowerment are central to my approach. At Iron Will Raw, I transformed small-scale operations into a larger, efficient system, evolving from Production Manager to Plant Manager.
