Geotechnical/CMT engineer in training with S&ME’s Raleigh Branch. Have both field and office experience. I have a passion for Geotechnical and CMT related work and strive to set new standards with my work ethic and ability to manage my time and projects. At S&ME, I am given the opportunity to manage projects from start to finish which is a passion of mine and allows me to take ownership of my projects. As an employee within and employee owned company (ESOP), I strive to perform at a high level for my peers and to grow our company value from within. Field work includes: Sowers DCP testing (shallow foundations, wall footings, loading docks, ect.), proofroll testing for asphalt and concrete pavements, fill placement observations and QC, deep foundation observations and QC (micro piles, auger cast piles, etc), ground improvement inspections (aggregate piers, rigid inclusions, helical piles), soil classification (sitting drill rigs, USCS and AASHTO), boring layouts using hand held GPS units, dam crack monitoring, Kessler DCP testing (tennis courts, running tracks, parking lots, ect.), temporary piezometer installation and monitoring. Office experience includes: Proposal and report writing, data entry to create OpenGround profiles and boring log records with or without laboratory data, pLog data entry, creating Microsoft excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and figures for boring location plans and appendix documentation, BST, Pathfinder to create WPT GPS files for layouts, project management skills such as coordination and organization of projects from start to finish, scheduling drill rigs and hydro ace clearing and traffic control, scheduling lab testing, coordinating information to all parties of a project. Settlement calculations with SPT and CPT, consolidation testing interpretation of modulus values, heavy and light duty pavement calculations (asphalt and concrete), seismic site class calculations, liquefaction calculations, interpretation of CBR testing data for pavement design.
