Contribute to special projects such as the annual State of the Industry report, which consists of consumer and executive surveys about mobile habits and how they view the industry, respectively. Serve as a moderator for company-hosted webinars as well as at industry conferences. Experience with planning events such as conferences and webinars. Responsible for the day-to-day editorial and social media operations of PaymentsJournal.com, a news-aggregator website for the payments industry. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, keeping up-to-date on the industry through social media feeds such as Twitter and company press releases and updating the website's News Headlines section to reflect current trends; assigning Mercator Advisory Group analysts Featured Stories in which they summarized and analyzed select news items that affected the payments industry; edited Featured Stories and blog posts from analysts; uploaded documents to the website's Library section; updated our Twitter feed regarding new Featured Stories and blog posts on the website; communicated with payments industry executives who were interested in contributing content to the website; contributed to or led conference calls with companies about editorial and advertising opportunities, tracked website traffic patterns and other analytics; wrote content when necessary.

Hired as an Associate Editor for the Payments Division of SourcMedia. In 2008, became an Associate Editor for ATM&Debit News, which focused on debit and prepaid cards. Responsibilities included writing two trend pieces a week, plus daily news items for the division’s Web site, PaymentsSource.com. Also used Twitter on a daily basis.

Was hired to work the copy desk the majority of the time, but responsibilities expanded as time went on. First major beat was in 2003 with coverage of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun. In 2004, became the beat writer for the Norwich Navigators/Connecticut Defenders, the Double A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. In December 2006, coverage of the UConn men's basketball team was added to responsibilities. Coverage of each beat included game stories, notebooks, features, offseason news and a blog for the Defenders and UConn. Responsibilities also extended to coverage of high school sports.
