On behalf of Metro Vancouver, Wastech Services managed and operated municipal solid waste disposal facilities, including four transfer stations, a construction recycling facility, and a dry-climate modern landfill outside the Village of Cache Creek. I coordinated the development and registration of the Environmental Management System for five waste transfer stations and one regional landfill, and developed the business case for a LFG-to-LNG fleet fuel switching project. Responsibilities also included procuring and overseeing the hauling service provider, and managing the hauling of MSW between transfer stations and landfills. Logistics responsibilities also included developing and introducing haul scheduling and trailer dispatching systems, RFID tracking technology, along with forms and procedures to more effectively manage the contracted waste and backhauling logistics operations.
