About Will York
I'm a structural engineer skilled in delivering projects that require a careful touch - low carbon construction, heritage or Listed buildings, complex construction sequences and constrained sites. I'm also a campaigner for sustainable infrastructure and active travel, specifically in Greater Manchester.I received an honours degree in MEng Structural Engineering and Architecture from the University of Sheffield in 2011, a course accredited accredited by both the Institution of Structural Engineers and by RIBA as a Part I Architecture course.I have a background in complex geometry and parametric design as well as structural design in timber, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, masonry and concrete.As well as building structure, I’ve worked on the structural design of many artworks by artists including Darren Almond, Anthony Caro, Olafur Eliasson, Katharina Fritsch, Anthony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama, Hew Locke, Leo Villareal and Richard Wilson.
