Second in charge of department dealing with the setting and marking of the Institute’s Educational Trust examinations. Maintaining databases, interacting with examiners and candidates, collating statistics, proof reading examination papers, organising examiners’ payments.

- Working as part of a team to create an operating system for a Thin Client using C and C++ in a Linux environment. Designed the session configuration manager with front end Graphical User Interface as well as being in charge of ensuring that the overall build logic worked correctly. - Pioneered development of a web browser destined for a set top box using TCL – also within a Linux environment.

Co-ordinating teams to meet targets and project deadlines. Designing embedded Software for motion control systems using C/C++. Designing hardware for motion control systems (including for working on the Airbus A380 for BAE and designing a valve controller for nuclear power stations for URENCO). Writing product specifications, manuals and test specifications. Testing software and hardware products. Commissioning systems and dealing with on-site problems. Talking to customers and dealing with their queries and problems.
