My current role involves jointly developing cross-government overseas strategies to strengthen resilience against terrorism within the UK’s Priority Counties. To date, I have produced and delivered training packages for both overseas emergency responders and the private sector within 7 countries. This is a hugely rewarding job that has given me a fascinating global insight and the ability to work confidently and effectively with foreign partners at all levels. I have accumulated a wealth of experience during my 31 years of police service from several specialist roles. It’s truly incredible to be doing this international work at the end of a fulfilling police career. The National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ) is responsible for developing policy and strategy and providing a single national counter terrorism policing voice on behalf of the National Counter Terrorism Policing Network. The NCTPHQ also coordinates national projects and programmes, provides administrative and support services to the national network, advises the government on budgets and resourcing for counter terrorism policing in England and Wales. -
