- Designed, built, and maintain internal toolchains for Resiliency and Isolation testing, including dependency detection, fault-injection, and just-in-time UDP/TCP traffic mocking, which provides quality controls for 1200 microservices handling Qualtrics’ total traffic and saves upwards of $1 million per year in external testing contracts- Led a cross-team engineering effort to create a staging-wide test run management system in order to enable centralized, scheduled resiliency testing, horizontal scale testing, and real-time test results for in-house tools which saves developers an average of 10 minutes per run for over 400 tests run per quarter- Designed and built an internal Homebrew CLI tool that saves hundreds of hours of developer time in DevOps per quarter by enabling local performance A/B testing and safe incident reproduction. Executed an engineering-wide gameday with this tool that identified 50 high priority action items for key systems- Architected an autonomous test running, targeting, and communications platform that leverages internal Scale and Resiliency tools to provide continuous validations of service fault resiliency and scale limitations in order to enforce scale and resiliency health metrics and prevent performance regressions- Created teaching materials and presented eng-wide on scalable design, intelligent testing, and proprietary toolkits for 180 developers in order to improve tool adoption and inform impactful testing- Translated business value into technical features to write several key northstars which secured long-term buy-in for Resiliency testing & automated test execution and contributed around 15 weeks per quarter to quarterly planning

I work on the Scale Test Tools & Services team in Quality Engineering, focusing on Chaos/Resiliency testing, where I develop internal tools to enable more intelligent and nuanced testing and validation as a full-stack developer.Interesting projects & responsibilities include:- Created a Dependency Detector in order to inform engineers of their services’ place in the infrastructure, enable automated test generation & execution, and act as the groundwork for service and infrastructure contextualization- Collaborated cross-team to create a test run management system across hosts in staging in order to enable centralized, scheduled resiliency testing, horizontal scale testing, and real-time results on test execution with in-house tools- Ran weekly incident reviews to create testing action items and support teams in their completion- Provided engineering support and drove adoption for relevant testing methodologies and tools, including tech talks, demos, and infrastructure presentations- Established and maintained feature parity between our in-house resiliency toolkit and all viable alternatives- Created numerous front-end abstractions for important tools and functionalities in React- Maintained our internal tool-hosting site

I worked on the Scale Test Tools Quality Engineering team to design and implement a robust, resilient, and highly performant dependency mocking support system to enable isolated and full-scale load, resiliency, and performance testing of integrated Qualtrics features and tools in order to ensure stability and scalability upon launch, as well as to improve transparency of testing results. I exposed both a RESTful API as well as built a React frontend to ensure ease of use as well as to better interface with existing Scale Test Tools services.

I designed and implemented an end-to-end data pipeline used to analyze and store customer data with high throughput to handle a multi-million daily active user count, I exposed RPC and RESTful APIs to allow access to the aggregated data while maintaining database security and consistency, and I designed and implemented the foundation for a NoSQL to SQL database converter with support for an online SQL query and data visualization system.

I restored and repaired PCs, worked as a front-end web developer on their website -- innertalk-store.com -- to increase product sales based on SEO and product image capture rates, and automated tasks such as image processing for the website using Python.

I recruited and coached talent for 1FPro eSports as well as broadcasted tournaments and my personal play, I played competitively for 1FPro eSports at Cheesadelphia IV (StarCraft tournament put on by Nerd Street Gamers in Philadelphia) and for Rise eSports at Cheesadelphia VI, and was involved in marketing for the merger between 1FPro eSports and Rival Gaming that became Rise eSports.

I sold home appliances on commission for the Sears in NorthTown Mall, and was the first hardlines sales associate eligible to bonus in the three years prior to my hiring.
