Initially engaged to project manage organisational redesign of manufacturing structures and roles to deliver a modernized, more operationally effective and cost competitive model. Contract extended to lead an end to end business project improving the NPD process across the cake division.This led into another ways of working project on optimising routine.

• Reporting to the Factory Manager or the Manufacturing Director led 3 site wide change programs: 1) Project managed site “survival” project for last 2 years to achieve a competitive cost per tonne and making c.150 roles.
• Revolutionised site operating model to 24/7/12, reducing shift patterns from 17 to 2
• Overcame significant union resistance to modernise the terms and conditions of 97% of the workforce to improve flexibility, availability & productivity
• Led consultation process with 2 union groups to achieve project objectives2) Using Lean tools and techniques and collaborating positively with local GMB reps for 105 production operators managed a process area cost.

Program managed the roll out of Lean from manufacturing to the enterprise level whilst reporting to the Group IS Director- Influenced functions and sites to deploy a standardised approach on consultant deployment to create true best practice and shared learnings - Tracked and reported Top 30 initiatives and capability development status to the UB Board.
