Over the course of the academic year, I designed a new graduate level course on design for additive manufacturing called "Scan, Model, Print!". The course focused on utilizing advanced algorithmic modeling and 3D imaging to exploit the advantages of 3D printing through hands-on design projects.I co-taught the corse during Spring quarter with Sean McCluskey. We had 62 well-qualified students apply for 11 spots. The course was hosted by Stanford's Product Realization Lab and we partnered with industry leaders including Autodesk and 3D Systems.

Stanford's Product Realization Laboratory provides a well-equipped space for current students of any year and any major to come in and realize their ideas. Our facilities include a machining lab, a precision metrology lab, a wood-working and pattern-making lab, a foundry, a plastics lab, a welding lab, and a rapid prototyping/electronics lab.As a TA there, I have the opportunity to consult with student's on their class, personal, and research projects. This of course is in addition to our core priority of ensuring the safety of the over 1500 registered users each year, many of whom have no experience with any such machinery. To complement this 20 hrs/wk of rapid fire advising, I also coach a small group of students in "ME203: Introduction to Design and Manufacturing". I help guide them through a 9 week process of bringing an idea in their heads to a beautiful product.Although proficient in all areas of the lab, I specialize in our rapid prototyping and electronics space. There we focus both on early-stage prototyping, integration of 'smart' capabilities, fabrics and soft goods, and rapid digital/physical transitions.

Our team designed a modular, portable and non-invasive sensor suite and logging package to measure vehicle dynamics and driver interaction in vintage race cars. This data will help us design better driver-assistance features for the increasing autonomy in today's vehicles. We collaborated with drivers, restorers, and human biology lab for driver sensors.
