I have more than 20 years of experience on terminal building projects for numerous airports within and outside the United States. My experience ranges from initial planning and detailed planning/schematic design to construction administration. I have served as a planner and technical consultant for on-call planning services provided at many major large hub US airports. Tasks that have included master planning for a 70-gate concourse, planning for security screening checkpoints, and design and construction management of international common-use ticketing and airline clubroom facilities. I have led the integration of simulation modeling into facility and operational planning to provide both graphical presentations and data representative of facility performance and passenger flows. The terminal simulation software I use is Comprehensive Airport Simulation Technology (CAST), which is nonproprietary software. This dynamic three-dimensional tool has consistently proven to be invaluable in assisting decision-makers to easily understand complex issues and proposed solutions. I have used CAST at more than 30 airports to effectively identify issues and convey solutions and has presented his work at international symposiums related to operational planning. I have developed spreadsheet analysis tools for terminal programming that have been project-tested at the large-hub airports.
