Management-side, employment law firm. Drafted employee handbooks. Drafted compliance memoranda for partners on OSHA regulations, workplace discrimination, harassment, paid sick leave, retaliation, whistleblowers, arbitration agreements, and NYC unemployment discrimination.

Interview, counsel, and assist low-income clients with estate planning. Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, living wills, health care proxies, powers of attorney, and cremation directives.

Researched and wrote memoranda on the commercial sexual exploitation trade in New York for an organization that provides services to women who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation. I argued for specific changes the New York legislature should adopt to improve existing laws.

Observed motion practice from the bench. Sat in on jury trial and summary jury trial in no-fault insurance cases and met with Judge Cohen and his law clerk in chambers to discuss cases. Prepared discovery documents for a multi-million dollar legal malpractice case. Learned Casemap and Timemap software and organized malpractice case in the system for litigators. Sat in on depositions for legal malpractice case and discussed case strategy with litigators. Reviewed litigation documents for attorneys on issues of business, real estate, municipal, environmental and personal injury law.
