Current• Led designs of new hydraulic systems for the marine and military sectors from design concept through release-to-production using stage-gate and APQP processes: • Held concept meetings with customers • Worked through iterative designs using Creo • Developed and performed initial lab tests to benchmark and prove out new design concepts • Used DFMEA, PFMEA, and Design for Manufacturability tools to improve designs • Led design reviews to receive cross-team input early in the design process • Built prototypes for concepting and managed larger prototype runs for validation testing • Created Design Validation Plan and Reports (DVP&Rs) to manage customer requirements • Executed necessary lab tests or managed outside facilities for testing • Established PPAP and reciept inspection requirements in cooperation with quality department • Managed transition to production using 3P events to streamline assembly line flow • Held post-mortem meetings to evaluate and document project successes and failures• Met with suppliers to explore capabilities and expand supplier base• Participated in Kaizen events to improve processes throughout the plant
