I was then engaged with an oil and gas supermajor's Alaska holdings, planning a transition between supermajor-issued computer hardware and a virtual-machine-facilitated solution with contractor-issued hardware. This entailed a pilot of the virtual machine solution to determine its suitability for different job duties as well as a legal/contractual review and a field network infrastructure assessment to discover the quality of coverage at wells/pads and trailer camps (which was previously unknown to the business).Subsequently, I was tasked with analyzing information about their upstream SharePoint farms and producing a plan to migrate all data from disparate versions dating back to SharePoint 2003 onto SharePoint 2013 and related platforms.
