Electrical Reliability Engineer
Current- Troubleshooted short term threats to plant operations with maintenance electricians in the field. This includes fixing or developing mitigation plans for motor control centers, transformers, breakers, protection.
- Supported the 2023 and 2024 major plant shutdown by developing maintenance tasks using a risk-based assessment approach to identify tasks that have the highest potential risk to operations and largest benefit-to-cost.
- Hosted risk review meetings with a multidisciplinary team to assess risks with implementing a physical change to the plant and developing mitigation strategies before the job starts.
- Supported the Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) activities before the plant can be brought back online after completing shutdown maintenance. Verified multidisciplinary checklists have been signed off and major.
- Created technical specifications to requisition new material for electrical devices that can no longer be replaced-in-kind. This includes electrical devices that do not meet operational or safety standards or devices.
- Identified long term threats to plant operation and developed strategic plans to upgrade damaged or obsolete equipment. Developed replacement plan to upgrade obsolete 200 HP Brooks Compton motors and obsolete 1336 PLUS.
