Profile bio

About Will Litton

I currently lead my organization's lean transformation in our journey to create a culture based upon the values of respect and continuous improvement. In my role, I have pivoted from problem solver to problem framer... from hero to coach... from mercenary to missionary. It has not been a linear journey, especially given the challenges that arose with the pandemic. However, I see life as a continual learning process and deeply believe in purpose-driven work. Working in a small, community hospital requires me to wear many hats. I collaborate with our hospital president and executive team on how best to deepen and accelerate our lean transformation. I develop learning curriculums and provide education & training on key facets of the Toyota Management System. I facilitate and coach our value streams. This ranges from strategic alignment and planning to weekly status reviews. I also lead and coach front-line staff in utilizing lean principles as rapid tests of change in the form of kaizen (rapid improvement) workshops. I continually seek to communicate and promote our lean journey in the form of report outs, oral presentations, internal communications (e.g., newsletters), branding, and presentations at our leadership institutes.Previously, I served as a management consultant with over 15 years of experience in improving operational performance and achieving cost efficiencies. Certified Facilitator, Project Management Professional, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Fully versed with all aspects of engagement management: project planning; staffing; client relations & communications; management of scope, budget, and risk; project/deliverable execution (both quality & objectives); and development of junior staff. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, concurrent projects requiring multiple areas of expertise:• Business Process Improvement / Reengineering• Enterprise / Organizational Assessment• Organization Design • Performance Measurement• Business Case Analysis• Cost / Benefit Analysis• Cost Analysis / Modeling / Estimation • Resource Needs Assessment• Acquisition Strategy & Management• Change Management• Group Facilitation

Listed skills include Business Process Improvement, Process Improvement, Six Sigma, Pmp, and 18 others.
