Executive management position for a multi-site dairy farm including forage crop farming and a vertically integrated animal feed company. Areas of responsibilities include organizing crop plans to grow forages while effectively balancing whole farm nutrients in compliance with a comprehensive nutrient management plan. Suwannee Valley Feeds overall feed mill management, commodity merchandising, animal nutrition, quality assurance, regulatory compliance including development and implementation of a food safety plan, human resources, safety, etc. Direct decisions for risk management & hedging strategies for 3 million cwts. of milk produced annually and related inputs using futures and options, insurance tools, and physical contracting.

Responsible for growing and maintaining volume and net income with direct dairy business accounts by providing sales support and consulting services for dairy nutrition, heat abatement, animal husbandry, facility design, etc. Territory revenue for fiscal year (July-June) 2008 totaled over $5.5 million for the states of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. First quarter of fiscal year 2009 metrics show 119% tons, 115% commissions over same period last year. Accomplishments are a result of a sales strategy focused on building strong relationships with dairy producers, their farm consultants and key influencers by providing a high level of service with dairy management practices, and using the sales process to uncover customer needs and demonstrate how our products meet those needs.

Responsible for growing the market share of Monsanto traits, owned seed brands, and seed partner brands in Southeast Georgia and Florida by working to create demand through retail, seed dealers and top growers.

Responsible for managing a territory which includes FL; and AR for purposes of maximizing sales of POSILAC® (bovine somatotropin), and Dekalb® seed for corn silage directly to dairy producers. Recognized as Outstanding Performer and team leader for business planning, new hire training and mentoring, and team meeting planning and facilitating. Participated in many select company task force teams including Database Development, New Hire Training, Program Development, Business Conduct, and Editorial Board which coordinated content and direction for numerous web, email and print publications. Capitalized upon multi-faceted knowledge of dairy industry to provide service to dairy producers through on farm consulting, presentations at local meetings, dairy employee training in both English and Spanish, and FeedWatch support. Developed strong skills in the areas of heat abatement, and the dairy records program, PCDART. Enjoyed sharing these skill sets with other employees through team training. In role as a team leader for computer skills, earned a reputation throughout the company as an expert in Outlook, Excel, MapPoint, PowerPoint, Word, PCDART, FeedWatch, DHI Plus, Dairy Comp 305, and our Siebel database software.

Coordinated a team of six employees to complete daily feeding of dairy cows and replacement heifers. Developed and manipulated the feeding system with the goal of maximizing milk production through keeping ample fresh feed available while minimizing refusals. Designed feed management spreadsheets to keep records, store rations, manage inventories, and communicate between employees. Worked closely with farm manager as "special projects coordinator," to help gather information on new opportunities, assess which options to implement, and work as a part of management to ensure projects were executed in a timely fashion.
