Project Manager
CurrentCGI: Project manager working within the Energy and Utilities sector, assigned to a large scale Infrastructure Transformation Programme:Full time management of a large complex transformation project based around building of new virtual and physical infrastructure and migration of critical IT services and applications to a new platform. Key Responsibilities: • Defining project scopes, budget, risk, scope, quality, stakeholder, and procurement management. Ensuring project plans are thorough and detailed delivering various components of the Project Lifecycle• Governance and oversight of designs documentation such HLD, LLD and solution blueprints prior to the implementation and acceptance into service of new digital services, infrastructure and applications• Responsible for management of project finances to ensure the project completes on budget and within approved margin thresholds. Includes monthly forecasting, tracking of actual costs and engaging with PMO to ensure monthly labour costs and 3rd party costs are accurate• Regularly interfacing with senior management, stakeholders, implementation team members, vendors, and subcontractors to provide insight on project status, business requirements, functional design and remediation of risks/issues• Creation of project proposal and bid documentation for new revenue generating work including defining of scope, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, cost/benefit analysis of new product or services and writing of formal bid documentation
