I provided software systems engineering, integration, and project management solutions for NASA's Orion Multi Purpose Crewed Vehicle (MPCV) for deep space human exploration for all Exploration Missions (EM-1, EM-2, EM-X) currently being developed. The EM-2 mission will be the first human space flight back to the moon since the 1970s. In my role, I use my abilities to enable Lockheed Martin to succeed in helping NASA reach the goal of sending humans back to the moon starting in 2022 followed by building the Deep Space Gateway (aka LOP-G) on orbit around the moon in 2023/24.In this position I currently hold the following duties:- Orion Software Mission Integrator (planning, designing, costing, and proposals)- Orion Docking Software Lead- Orion Thrust Vector Control Upgrade Software Lead - Orion ESM-3 Prop Upgrade Software LeadI am responsible for new mission capability proposals, building integrated cross-mission schedules for software development, ensuring cross-mission impacts are assessed, creating a plan to move Orion Software from development to production post EM-2, and standing up Orion Mission Kit software teams to enable success for all future missions of the Orion Vehicle.

I was also charged with producing the overall Orion Software organization status reports to Lockheed Martin Senior Leadership and the NASA customer.

In addition to my Orion EM-2 Software role, I was also the acting SW lead of integrating Docking software capabilities with the Orion vehicle as well as strategic architecture and software initiatives to enable NASA to build out the Deep Space Gateway and Deep Space Transport in the 2020s utilizing the Orion vehicle software.I partnered with other Orion subsystem organizations within Lockheed Martin and NASA to develop CONOPS for docking and identify requirements for Software to execute the future missions for humans to once again venture into Deep Space.As I gained more responsibility with the EM-2 mission, I trained an emerging leader into this position.

Responsible for managing all early Orion Exploration Mission 2 (EM-2) software work. I captured work scope, deferrals from EM-1, and functional SW definitions that needed to be added to the EM-2 vehicle. I was responsible for managing SW Risks and Cost threats that had been identified with the EM-2 mission. Co-led the Software team analysis of adding crew to the EM-1 vehicle for the Trump administration to show how we could deliver humans back to the moon faster with appropriate funding levels.Upon the EM-1 Launch date move, I co-led a tiger team to identify schedule pinch points for the NASA Orion EM-2 mission in order to strategize around how to keep the EM-2 launch date in June 2022.Proposed a new structure for developing and testing integrated software faster within the Orion program. Upon acceptance of the high level strategy and vision, I co-led a joint LM and NASA team of leaders and experienced professionals to develop an execution strategy and schedule to support the Software Integrated Multi-disciplinary (SWIM) team structure meeting the milestones identified in the initial tiger team. Upon completion and acceptance of the SWIM execution strategy, I was charged with:- Standing up SWIM teams with existing resources- Writing reqs for additional resources- Training employees on EM-2 needs- Evaluating existing processes to enhance and streamline to meet schedule- Lay in SW Functionality development (that I had captured previously) into a resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)- Interviewing and hiring additional staff where needed- Working cross SWIM Team issues and needs to facilitate a successful mission- Initial Software 90% Critical Design Review LeadAs I transitioned my position as the Orion Docking Software Lead (see below), I am now responsible for integrating EM-2 schedules with Docking Schedules are they developed to support both missions objectives.This role was consumed under the new SWIM Structure

Services include: Requirements management, analysis and definition; automated systems design; integrated system design; metrics generation and reporting; and verification/validation/test process design.I have used my leadership skills to bring diverse teams together to design new automated and integrated test solutions for the Orion SW organization. These solutions include a nightly SW checkout automated system and integrated verification automated system.Responsible for reviewing and processing requirement and design changes to and for Orion SW as they pertain to Orion avionics subsystems, ESA Airbus Service Module systems, and Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs). Co-lead a special team ("Tiger Team") to review and generate 1000s of requirements test criteria (10-15k) with LM and NASA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Orion SW to verify the individual CSCIs.Responsible for generating monthly SW Status reports for the Orion SW director to present to LM and NASA Orion Program Management, the LM SSC Civil Space Line of Business, and the LM SSC Software functional organization.

Proposed, designed, and coordinated a new method of communicating Diversity & Inclusion from the LM SSC Diversity and Inclusion Council to larger audiences by providing semi-monthly webcasts on D&I topics as they relates to the workplace and business strategies. Lead a team of 6 initial members to coordinate webcasts where Sr Leadership (VPs) would sponsor a D&I topic and participate in webcasts to talk about D&I topics they were passionate about in the workplace. These topics went outside of the traditional dimensions of diversity to expand upon the definition of what is Diversity & Inclusion within the LM SSC employee population.
